Microsoft Quick Assist - Technician Guide

1. Launch Quick Assist

Option 1: Press the Windows key on your keyboard or click the Windows Start button on your taskbar.
Search for Quick Assist and select it from the results.
Shortcut: Press Windows Key + Ctrl + Q to launch directly.

2. Select "Help Someone"

In Quick Assist, click Help someone.
If prompted, sign in with your @summex.net email credentials.

3. Share the Security Code

After signing in, Quick Assist generates a security code.
Share this code with the User and instruct them to enter it in their Quick Assist window under Enter code.

4. Guide User to Allow Screen Sharing

After the User enters the code, they will see a screen-sharing prompt.
Instruct them to click Allow to continue.

5. Request Remote Control

In the session bar, click Request control to control the User’s PC.
The User will receive a notification to allow remote control.
Once approved, you can fully control their device.
